Three Rivers' Agriculture Department offers courses that can lead to careers in animal science, agronomy, soil science, horticulture, ag-business and agriculture education. Regional and national trends in recent years indicate shortages of graduates in all areas.
Three Rivers' Agriculture Department offers career and leadership opportunities for students through association with regional and national organizations. Three Rivers hosts a number of regional high school conferences of the Future Farmers of America, including the annual Southeast Missouri Greenhand Motivational Conference, FFA CDE Contests and National FFA Convention. The Aggies co-sponsor the AG EXPO, an annual regional agriculture weekend event that attracts hundreds of people from throughout the Southeast Missouri and northeast Arkansas area.
Instructors and advisors assist agriculture students in creating successful pathways to four-year colleges and universities and into successful careers.
