THREE RIVERS COMMUNITY COLLEGE SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM

Program Description
A three-semester, non-credit, continuing education program developed to meet the demand for surgical technologists in the area. Course lectures and college lab practices are held on the college campus. Clinical experiences are conducted in local hospitals under the supervision of the program faculty. Graduates are eligible to take the National Certifying Exam for Surgical Technologists. Admission Criteria
1. A completed program application with a copy of high school diploma or equivalent on file in the Allied Health office by June 1 st .
2. Satisfactory performance on the Health Occupations Aptitude Exam (exam fee $10) is required for selection for admission.
3. Successful completion of a health physical exam and a CPR course for health professionals are required for admission into the program after selection.. Applicants are responsible for physical exam fee of approximately $100 and CPR course fee of approximately $30.
