Great Careers in Child Care!
The Associate of Applied Science Degree is a Career-Technical degree. The Early Childhood Development curriculum is designed to both prepare students for employment and for leadership roles in licensed child care centers. Although offered as a terminal degree, the program articulates to a 2 + 2 program and to Hannibal Lagrange Early Childhood Education Bachelor's degree and with SEMO.
The Early Childhood Development certificate program is designed to prepare students for immediate work within the field. It enable students to obtain a post-secondary certificate quickly and yet allow for future personal development at a degree level. The certificate consists of 18 hours of General Education courses and 18 hours of Early Childhood Development courses that are recognized by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition.
