Forestry at Three Rivers

With the management of our forest resources being vital to the economy of our state and our area, the Forestry program at Three Rivers Community College provides an important service to our region.

At Three Rivers students learn to be a vital part of the work in the forestry community.  Students in our program get an education in the many subject areas associated with forestry including:  Silviculture, forest measurements, wildlife management, dendrology, logging and marketing of forest products, fire control, forest environmental issues, and many others.

The Forestry program at Three Rivers is a 2 year program of study leading to an Associates of Applied Science Degree.  Graduates find employment in a variety of forestry and natural resources occupations including opportunities with  state and federal forestry agencies, forest industry, environmental consulting firms, forestry consulting firms, The National Park Service, and The US Fish and Wildlife Service.
