Physical science - including geology, physics and chemistry - are all discplines classified as natural sciences. They generally involve non-living materials and the principles of fundamental relationships and laws in the universe.

The Physical Science program at Three Rivers provides a strong science background for transfer to a four-year university. The curriculum prepares students for study leading to a bachelor's degree in a variety of fields, including chemistry, geology and physics. It is also a first step toward a graduate degree in medical science.

Through Three Rivers' physical science programs, student may

• prepare for and conduct scientific experiments
• use and understand basic instrumentation
• analyze and interpret scientific data
• demonstrate an extensive problem-solving capability

Three Rivers labs on campus in Poplar Bluff and at its Centers throughout Southeast Missouri provide state-of-the-art technology for students.
