| TRCC Admissions & Registration Checklist
1. Admissions Application (48k pdf) Complete your application form and mail or bring with your $20 application fee to the Three Rivers Community College Admissions Office.
*Answer all questions to expedite processing of your application. Use this application process only if you are a first-time TRCC applicant. Former TRCC students and students who have earned TRCC credit while enrolled in High School should not use this application. These students should use a Returning Student Application (online pdf coming soon). If you are visiting from another campus for the summer session only you will need to complete a Visitor Application (16k pdf ).
Required items: a.) High School transcript b.) Copy of GED c.) College Transcripts if you have previously attended d.) $20 application fee
2. Acceptance letter This will be mailed to your permanent address by the Admissions Office.
Required items: a.) Retain copy as proof of acceptance
3. Financial Aid Complete the FAFSA(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) immediately following the filing of your application, the FAFSA form normally takes 4-6 weeks for processing. The Priority deadline for campus-aid is April 1.
Required items: a.) Income Tax form or other proof of income may be required for specific grant aid b.) Student must be accepted into a program of study by the Admissions Office in order to receive Financial Aid
4. Testing All accepted applicants to TRCC are required to provide ACT test scores for placement purposes. Results of the test are used to assist advisors to advise you on your source selection. If you’ve not completed the ACT you may take the ASSET exam at TRCC. To sign-up for the ASSET exam please contact the Office of Admissions at 573-840-9605 or toll free 1-877-TRY-TRCC ext. #605.
Required items: a.) Picture ID b.) Two #2 pencils c.) Calculator d.) Approximately 2 hours of your time e.) Students with prior college credit in Math or English must bring a college transcript to the admissions office for evaluation and waiver.
5. Advisement/Registration All students are assigned an advisor. All NEW students must be advised by an advisor to register for classes. Students may view classes on-line on Rapid Reggie. Stop by TRCC in Poplar Bluff or one of our three off-sites at Kennett, Malden, or Sikeston to be advised and register for classes.

6. Billing/Tuition The schedule provided at the time of registration includes the cost of tuition. The tuition must be paid by the date printed on the schedule. Cancellation and/or late charge will occur if the bill is not paid on-time. Financial Aid can be used for payment of the tuition only when an award notice has been received by the college.
7. Orientation All new students will be expected to attend an orientation on campus. Notification will be sent regarding the date and time of the campus session. For further information, contact the Director of Advising and Retention.
8. Drop/Add A few days are provided at the beginning of each semester to allow students an opportunity to adjust their schedules.
9. Withdraw It is important for a student to be aware that withdrawing form a course or the program should be done with deliberation. Course withdraw forms are available in the Registrar’s Office. Forms to withdraw from college can be obtained in the Vice-President for Student Affairs. Refunds are not provided to students who fail to attend class, who do not complete an official withdraw form, or withdrew after the first 2 weeks of class. |
