THREE RIVERS TO ADMINISTER
GED TEST THIS FALL
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. – Three Rivers Community College will be administering the GED Test on campus and at the Three Rivers Centers in Malden and Kennett this fall.
The GED Test will be given at the Three Rivers Center in Malden on Saturday, Sept. 13 and at the Three Rivers Center in Kennett on Saturday, Oct. 18. In addition, the test will be given at the TRCC Testing Center on the campus in Poplar Bluff on Sept. 6, Oct. 4, Nov. 1 and Dec. 13.
Persons interested in taking the GED should contact Diane Rodriquez with the Three Rivers Testing Center at 1-573-840-9667 to receive an application packet that includes step-by-step instructions on how to apply for the test. The packet will include information concerning the exam as well as the application form. Advanced registration is needed for the GED; registration will not be accepted on the day of the test.
GED tests measure the academic skills and knowledge students are expected to acquire during four years of high school. The GED test includes five exams covering writing skills, social studies, science, reading, and mathematics. The test is a daylong exam and time will be given for breaks and for lunch.
Recognized throughout America by employers and institutions of higher learning, the GED program has served as a bridge to education and employment opportunities for millions of adults since 1942. An estimated 15 million people have earned high school equivalency credentials since the program began.
