Accessing Magazine, Journal, & Newspaper Articles
Students, faculty, and staff can access full-text magazine, journal, and newspaper articles, as well as other reference materials, through the Databases link on the Rutland Library home page.
To access:
1. Click on “Databases.”
2. Click on “Off-Campus Links (Remote Access).”
3. Select database.
4. When prompted, enter “trcc” followed by your 7-digit Three Rivers ID#. Add preliminary zeros as necessary (ex.: trcc0012345). If you don’t know your number or have other questions, call the library reference desk (573 840-9655).
Card Catalog
You can search the Three Rivers catalog for books, pamphlets, videos, etc., from any Internet computer by clicking on Search Our Catalog. Ordinarily, you must come to the library to check out materials. You may, however, click on the “Request” button to have an item held for you.
To see what is available in academic and large public libraries across the state, click on MOBIUS.
MOBIUS
—Allows you to search approximately 18 million books in nearly 60 Missouri libraries and request specific items using any Internet computer—at no charge. You will be notified by mail when requested items arrive. You must pick them up within one week.
Things You Need to Know to Use Galahad/MOBIUS Effectively
- When you locate a specific item to request, click on “Request this Item.”
- When asked for your cluster, select "Galahad."
- Your Campus ID is your 7-digit Three Rivers ID# (include preliminary zeros as needed) followed by “TRCC” (ex.: 0012345TRCC).
- Pickup and return. Pick up materials at the circulation desk, 1st floor of the Rutland Library building. Return materials there as well, or use the book return outside. If circumstances are such that you cannot come to the library, contact us and we can mail materials to you, postpaid.
- Library location. Rutland Library occupies the north sides of two floors of the Rutland Library building, which is on the “hill” between the E.K Porter building and the Westover Administration building.
- View Your Record. This service is available at the bottom of the Three Rivers/Galahad search screen. See what items you have checked out and when they are due, renew items (if they are not overdue), or cancel requests.
