New students are required to attend New Student Orientation. Students receive one hour of credit for this one day course.
Faculty and students were polled in the important skills needed to succeed in starting college. This orientation focuses on those skills needed to be successful at Three Rivers. Students will meet with faculty and staff, receive tips on success within the classroom and how to use technology offered here at Three Rivers.
The Student Services and Student Support Services staff offer mini-courses covering topics such as time management, study skills, career development, exam skills, use of library resources, etc. Mini-courses are offered to all students without charge. Announcements of these offerings will be posted in advance.
Students are expected to attend the entire orientation and we have several dates to choose from. Students register for the 1 credit hour during advising and registration in choosing their first semester courses.
