Requirements for Admission to the College
Three Rivers Community College subscribes to an open admissions concept in order to provide full educational opportunities. The board of trustees authorizes the college president to establish regulations for admission which encourage the enrollment of all persons with the ability to benefit from the education programs of the college.
1. Prospective students should request a new student (admission) packet. This can be done in one of three ways:
| 1. |
Come in person to the Welcome Center located in the Bess Student Center on the Three Rivers College
campus. |
| 2. |
Call the Welcome Center at (573) 840-9605 or toll free at
1-877-TRY-TRCC (ext. 605). |
| 3. |
Fill out the request form online. |
2. Submit a Three Rivers Community College application for admission.
3. Request your official high school and college transcripts be sent to Three Rivers or submit your passing GED scores (before registering for class).
4. Request ACT scores be sent to Three Rivers or make an appointment to take the COMPASS test.
5. Follow instructions sent by the Welcome Center concerning testing, advising, registration and orientation.
Failure to complete admission requirements within the prescribed time may result in suspension from the college. No student will be considered as officially enrolled until all admission requirements are met. No student will receive financial aid distributions until all admissions requirements are met. Both full-time and part-time students must meet the college admission requirements.
Admission to Specific Programs
Because of the necessity to limit the number of students who enroll in Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology, students applying to these programs will be accepted according to the approved selection process as outlined in each program’s section. For further information, contact the Division Chair of Health and Human Services.
The college may restrict or deny admission to any applicant whose record of behavior indicates that his or her admission would disrupt the orderly process of the college’s programs, would interfere with the rights and privileges of other students, creates a threat or potential danger to the college community, is statutorily barred from the college, or if such denial of access is considered to be in the best interest of the college.
Pursuant to Missouri State Statute 174.130, TRCC will not knowingly admit any aliens unlawfully present in the United States. Proof of legal residency may be required at the time of application. International students should refer to the catalog section on international admissions.
