Q: How do I enroll in a TRCC Blackboard class?
A: Contact the Registrar at 573-840-9666
Q: What are the minimum hardware requirements?
A: Your computer must be at least 800Mhz and have at least 16Mb or RAM
Q: How do I log in to the TRCC Blackboard server?
A: If you have already registered for the class, go to the TRCC Blackboard Login Page. Click on the Login button, Username is the last 5 digits of your TRCC student ID and Password is the last 4 digits of your social security number. If you continually have problems logging in – contact the system administrator: blackboard@trcc.edu
Q: I am running Windows XP and am having problems viewing PowerPoint presentations on the TRCC Blackboard server. What do I do?
A: Download the following patch:
OR right click on your mouse to save the presentation and view it later when you are no longer logged on the TRCC Blackboard server.
Q: My computer does not have PowerPoint/Adobe Acrobat/Word/etc. loaded on it?
A: Go to www.microsoft.com/downloads and search for the appropriate viewer OR contact the system administrator: blackboard@trcc.edu
Q: Is there anytime I am unable to access the TRCC Blackboard server?
A: The TRCC Blackboard server is unavailable on Fridays from 4 AM to 7 AM CST for regularly scheduled maintenance. There may also be times when unscheduled maintenance must take place – check the announcements page in your TRCC Blackboard class for times when the server may be unavailable.
Q: I am afraid someone is using my TRCC Blackboard user account, what do I do?
A: Contact the system administrator immediately: blackboard@trcc.edu
Q: How do I view/save materials the Instructor has on his/her course?
A: To view the materials LEFT mouse click on the item, to save the material RIGHT mouse click on the item and save the material to your computer.
Q: How do I contact my Instructor?
A: Look under the Staff Information Tab in your TRCC Blackboard course for the Instructors phone number and email address OR call the TRCC switchboard at 573-840-9600.
