Navy Tech Prep Program
The Navy Tech Prep Partnership Program is an articulation agreement between Three Rivers College and the United States Navy expressing the commitment of both parties to the education and preparation of students. Three Rivers coordinates system resources and works cooperatively with the Navy to provide posts-econdary coursework for past, present and future Navy personnel to enable them to meet all the educational requirements for the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Applied Technology.

The articulation agreement between Three Rivers and the Navy allows students who meet the specified criteria to receive college credit for the instruction and training they receive in their Navy technical training programs and military-related job experiences. Three Rivers may also accept approved transfer college credit from other higher education institutions in partial fulfillment of the AAS degree. Successful completion of Navy technical training programs and military-related job experiences can be used to satisfy up to 45 semester hours of credit in the General Education and Applied Technology blocks of the AAS in Applied Technology.

Recommendations for the number of types of credit hours awarded will be made by college personnel using the Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services of the American Council on Education.

Students must complete the same residency requirement of 15 credit hours at Three Rivers as all other students completing degrees. For further details and more information, contact the Dean of Career Education and Workforce Development at (573) 840-9682.
