Information and Requirements
This program is designed to teach the skills necessary to qualify participants to perform and assist practical nurses or registered nurses in medication therapy. The course consists of 60 hours of classroom instruction plus 8 hours of clinical practice.  Each participant must complete a final written examination and a minimum of two-hour final practicum before a certificate will be issued and the participant’s name added to the Missouri State Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Registry. Requirements: Applicants must have High School diploma or GED, current Missouri CNA certificate with at least 6 months employment as a CNA, letter of recommendation from employing facility and minimum score ont the TABE test.
