myMail Instructions


myMAIL is the official email system for Three Rivers students. Please follow the instructions below to login to your personal email account. Your Three Rivers student email will be used for most correspondence from college offices. Technical assistance is available by calling 573-840-9605.

Logging Into myMAIL
  1. Select the myMAIL Link
    Located in the header on every page of the website. You can also bookmark the site for easier future access.

    Note: Internet Explorer 10 or above is recommended. If you receive any security warnings, it is OK to continue.

    Note: The actual message varies with the version of browser used. Select private computer if you are on your personal computer. Select public computer if you are on a public access computer.

  2. Select Your Settings
    At the login prompt, select the setting you wish to use. If you are not using Internet Explorer or if you are on a dial-up connection, you must use the 'light version' of the myMAIL system.

  3. Enter Your Username
    At the login prompt, enter your username which is the first initial of your first name and your entire last name followed by the last 4 digits of your Three Rivers Student ID number.
    • Example Student: Rocky Raider
    • Example Student ID#: 0123456
    • Example Username: rraider3456

  4. Enter Your Password
    Returning Students:
    • Your password has not been changed. If your email password contains part of your social security number, you must change your password according to the new password restrictions shown in step 5.

    New Students Registered Before May 15, 2016:
    • Your initial password is the last 6 digits of your social security number. You must change this according to new password restrictions shown below in step 5.
    • If you forgot your password, you can contact the Welcome Center at 573-840-9605 and request a “Student Email Password Reset”. Within 24 business hours, your password will be reset back to the initial password standard mentioned mentioned in the next section.

    New Students Registered On/After May 15, 2016:
    • Your initial password is a combination of the following:
      Example Student: Rocky Raider, born on July 1, 1966
    • First initial of first name, capitalized = R
    • First initial of last name, not capitalized = r
    • Birthday in numerical format: Month (2 digits), Day (2 digit), Year (2 digit) = 070166
    • Ends in an exclamation point = !
    • Based on these criteria, the initial password would be Rr070166!

    Note: If you contact the Welcome Center at 573-840-9605 because you lost your email password, it will be reset to this initial password after 24 business hours.

  5. Change Your Password
    • Upon login, you must change your password according to the new student password restrictions shown below.
    • You can click “Options” in the upper right of the screen, and select “Change Your Password”.
    • You can also change your password by clicking here.
      • In the username field, you must have “STUDENT\” before your username. (For example the username field would have “STUDENT\rraider3456”.)

    New Student Password Restrictions:

    Your new password must have 8 to 16 characters and contain:
    • Lowercase characters: a-z
    • Uppercase characters: A-Z
    • Numbers: 0-9
    • Symbols : ! # $ %

    Note: Passwords cannot contain the username alias (the part before @ symbol in your email address). Do not use your social security number, that is your private information.

  6. Select Your Location Settings
    Upon login, select your preferred time zone and language.

  7. Remember to Log Out
    Make sure you log out of your myMail account when you are finished, especially when using a public access computer.

Forget your myMail Student Email password?
Contact the Welcome Center at 573-840-9605 and request a “student email password reset”. Keep in mind this email password is linked to your Blackboard Learn account, but will NOT affect your myTRCC password.

After contacting the Welcome Center, your password will be reset within the next 24 business hours back to your default initial password. (See Step 4 for the new initial password standards.)

Email on your Mobile Device
The email app on your smartphone can be configured to receive your Three Rivers student email. For instructions on how to set up your account on your iOS or Android device, read the Mobile Phone Student Email Set-Up Guide.

Email Policy
Due to privacy regulations, Three Rivers offices are not permitted to release personally identifiable information via the telephone or email. Three Rivers reserves the right to remove any student from the email system due to unmet financial or other obligations and/or violation of the Acceptable Use Policy.

myTRCC Instructions


Three Rivers students can access many aspects of their student records via the myTRCC online student system. myTRCC gives the student access to degree audits, financial aid, unofficial transcripts, transcript requests, registration, student account balances, and the ability to pay on your account. Technical assistance is available by calling 573-840-9605.

Logging Into myTRCC
  1. Select the myTRCC Link
    Located in the header on every page of the website. You can also bookmark the site for easier future access.

  2. Select myTRCC for Students
    The myTRCC for Students is the gold button located below the main menu.

  3. Enter Your Username
    At the login prompt, enter your username which is the first initial of your first name and your entire last name followed by the last 4 digits of your Three Rivers Student ID number.
    • Example Student: Rocky Raider
    • Example Student ID#: 0123456
    • Example Username: rraider3456

    Note: If you do not know your student identification number, your user name can be retrieved via the “What's My User Name" link.
    • Link is found in the lower left of the screen by clicking “myTRCC for Students” under the “Main Menu” tab.

  4. Enter Your Password
    Returning Students:
    • Your password has not been changed. Skip to the Helpful Hints section at the end of this document if you have lost your password.

    New Students Registered Before May 15, 2016:
    • Your initial password is the last 6 digits of your social security number. You must change this according to new password restrictions shown below in step 5.

    New Students Registered On/After May 15, 2016:
    • Your initial password is a combination of the following:
      Example Student: Rocky Raider, born on July 1, 1966
    • First initial of first name, capitalized = R
    • First initial of last name, not capitalized = r
    • Birthday in numerical format: Month (2 digits), Day (2 digit), Year (2 digit) = 070166
    • Ends in an exclamation point = !
    • Based on these criteria, the initial password would be Rr070166!

    Note: If you forget your password, a temporary password can be sent from the "Reset my password" link.
    • Link is found in the lower left of the screen by clicking “myTRCC for Students” under the “Main Menu” tab. A randomized temporary password will be sent to your myMail student email account.


  5. Change Your Password
    Upon login, you must change your password according to the new student password restrictions shown below.

    New Student Password Restrictions:

    Your new password must have 8 to 16 characters and contain:
    • Lowercase characters: a-z
    • Uppercase characters: A-Z
    • Numbers: 0-9
    • Symbols : ! # $ %

    Note: Passwords cannot contain the username alias (the part before @ symbol in your email address). Do not use your social security number, that is your private information.
New students generally have access to myTRCC within a few days of initial registration.

Helpful Hints
  • If you do not know your student identification number, your user name can be retrieved via the “What's My User Name" link. (Link found in lower left of screen by clicking myTRCC for Students under the Main Menu tab.)

  • If you forget your password, a temporary password can be sent from the "Reset my password" link. (Link found in lower left of screen by clicking "myTRCC for Students" under the "Main Menu tab". The temporary password will be sent to your myMail student email account.)

Blackboard Instructions


Blackboard is the web-based system used to access online courses and additional web portions of face-to-face courses. Students normally have access to the course syllabi and material starting the first day of the course. Login assistance is available by calling 573-840-9605.

Logging Into Blackboard
  1. Select the Blackboard Link
    Located in the header on every page of the website. You can also bookmark the site "https://blackboard.trcc.edu" for easier future access.

  2. Enter Your Username
    At the login prompt, enter your username which is the first initial of your first name and your entire last name followed by the last 4 digits of your Three Rivers Student ID number.
    • Example Student: Rocky Raider
    • Example Student ID#: 0123456
    • Example Username: rraider3456

  3. Enter Your Password
    Your password is the same as your myMail student email password.

  4. Select your course name from the list under My Institutions
    You will immediately be taken to the welcome page of your course.

  5. Explore your web course
    Use the navigational buttons on the left to view various areas of the course. Each instructor sets up their courses differently.

  6. Remember to Log Out
    Make sure you log out of your Blackboard account when you are finished, especially when using a public access computer.
Students who do not have a personal computer can login to Blackboard using computers in the Three Rivers computer labs on campus or at its off-campus centers.

Blackboard Support
  • Email the Distance Learning office for blackboard support at blackboard@trcc.edu immediately. Copy your instructor.
  • Please do not wait until the next day to report issues.
  • •Include the Course Number, Type/Name/Location of Issue (Test, Assignment, Discussion Board), and a description of the problem you are experiencing.
