Three Rivers to host Halloween Safe Zone
The event will last from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday night, October 29 at the Bess Activity Center. Admission is free, and activities will include trick-or-treating, games, dance performances, costume contests and more.
"We've really amped up our activities and entertainment this year," said Three Rivers' Vice President for Student Success Jason Hoseney. "We've partnered with quite a few local businesses who will be helping us provide candy and offset other costs. We hope to have a record-setting number of people come through the doors, like last year, and we want to make sure they enjoy themselves."
This year's Safe Zone will feature a flash mob dancing to Michael Jackson's "Thriller", as well as an ambulance and a fire truck on display and a "Haunted Hallway" walk-through attraction.
Last year, the Safe Zone event attracted an estimated 4,000 people. Hoseney says the college hopes to exceed that attendance number this year, and plans to continue host the Safe Zone as an annual public event at Three Rivers.
