Three Rivers College holds Dash and Splash 5K Run/Walk to benefit Dexter TRC students
Three Rivers College is holding its Dash and Splash 5K Run/Walk on July 12 at Grille It Up in East Park in Dexter to support the Student Success Fund at Three Rivers College – Dexter. Registration will begin at 5 p.m. and the race will start at 6 p.m.
For the “splash” portion of the event, the Dexter Parks and Recreation Department will open the Dexter Aquatic Center, free of charge, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for race participants and their families. General pool rules will still apply at the Aquatic Center and children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
The registration fee is $20 through June 19, and participants can choose the 5K Run/Walk, 1-mile walk, or show support as a “virtual runner.” Those registering by June 19 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Beginning June 20, the fee increases to $25 and you are not guaranteed a T-shirt. Registration forms can be found at trcc.edu/development/events.
Strollers are welcome; children ages 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.
“Three Rivers isn’t just Poplar Bluff. Three Rivers is all of our 15-county service area, and it’s important for us to hold events in all of our communities, to benefit those communities,” said Michelle Reynolds, Director of Development at Three Rivers College. “With the Dash and Splash 5K Run/Walk, you can not only have a great evening with your family, but you can also help students right there in your town.”
Sponsors for the event are the Bank of Advance, BA Promotions & Marketing LLC, and the City of Dexter Parks & Recreation Department. Additional sponsors are welcome.
