Colorful, detailed paper cutouts featuring a variety of subjects.

Winkler won a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) grant in 1976 to make an animated film, and another NEA grant in 1979 to install a Window Display of his art in San Francisco. He has had hundreds of art shows all across the country. Winkler studied Ceramics at the Kansas City Art Institute from 1971 to 1975. He works in every material—film, fabric, paper, metal, ceramic, mosaics, paint, and found and discarded materials.
